Olivier Verscheure, an expert in data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning, brings 20 years of professional experience in both research and team and scientific project management. After several years in New York and Dublin, where he led groups of scientists at IBM's research centre, he has been Director of the Swiss Data Science Center since May 2016, the result of a national initiative between EPFL in Lausanne and ETH Zurich, which, in addition to its academic mandates, aims to support companies in their digital transformation. He joined Lonza's Board of Directors in May 2018.
